The Big Interview With Ron Wright
UK Talk Radio caught up with Ron and we asked him to explain more about his new single
I wrote the song & lyrics and recorded it in Monterey Sound Studio Glendale, CA and mixed it in Sound City Studio - Van Nuys, California.
In 1985 my good friend Mike Lent and I produced the EP with recording engineer Chris Minto.
I played the rhythm guitar and second solo as Mike played the first solo and ending solo.
Bobby Kimball lead singer of TOTO and Valerie Carter on vocals. The guitar I played was a 1952 Goldtop Les Paul plugged into a 69 JMP Marshall head.
Chris Mint, as I remember, had platinum records lining the walls of Studio City Studios as we walked thru the hallway to the mixing room. We mixed 4 songs on the EP.
1. Star Baby 2. Digital Highway 3. Pilgrim And The Preacher 4. Fast Woman's Lovin'.
All these songs plus many more are on my album "Ron Wright & Special Guests".
My album has 18 songs with currently recorded songs, as well as, the songs from the 80's.
At that time I recorded Digital Highway we were listening to songs on cassette players in our cars and home stereo systems. The digital age was starting to break with computers etc. and that what the song is about.
The single ‘Cryptocurrency’
The latest single ‘Cryptocurrency’ is a fast driving rocking masterpiece and wall of sound with huge rock vocals and an energy that could fill a classic rock stadium.
