HISTORY
MATD was originally a band Max and the Ducks. Name was shortened 2020 when Marcos Kuusjärvi and Veli Eronen changed their concept. Today MATD will work with featuring artists. Max and the Ducks had nine songs on official download chart in Finland. The most successful songs were based on Alice in Wonderland stories “Who The Fuck Is Alice” and “Bitch Alice Is Back”. Finnish pop/rock duo Marcos Kuusjärvi and Veli Eronen wrote a powerful song of death.
This song has had a tragic beginning. While recording a demo in Spain with singer Erja Siljamo.
Veli Eronen got a sudden seizure and Veli was taken hospital for five days.
Just when this song was about to release band members Veli and Marcos lost three family members. Release of the song was postponed.
Finally it was a clear decision to postpone this to spring 2022.
After all these loses it is time to see this whole song in totally different point of view.
It´s easy to sing and talk about death.
When you face death you know “how much weight your wings can take”.
This is for all who has lost their loved ones.

Musicians with MATD
Musicians with MATD. Lead vocalist is Nida (Hana Muftic) from Los Angeles. Nida has own studio in L.A. She also works with several music projects and has a band Asila. She is also well known as artist name Xylia. Erja Siljamo is a Finnish classical singer living in Spain.
Orchestral parts was made by producer “Gaugolon” from Germany.
Other musicians were from USA Richard Globichs, from Venezuela Fred Parra, from Finland Sammy Roiha and Jaakko Roiha with Marcos Kuusjärvi and Veli Eronen.
Song was mixed and mastered by Sammy Roiha at Sound Ateljee Studio, Lohja Finland.

STORY BEHIND “WHO THE FUCK IS ALICE”
This song is based on Lewis Carroll story Alice in Wonderland and it is dedicated to Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Original story is considered a little bit twisted. Also lyrics of this song is trying to reach all hidden meanings behind this lovely fairytale. Another point is that we all know Johnny Depp, Tim Burton and story itself, but most people don´t know who is the star Alice?
Original version of the song reached number one spot on official Finnish download chart 2015 dropping Taylor Swift out of the number one position.
